Exciting news for Star & Dagger: Dave Catching (Eagles of Death Metal) and Gene Trautmann (Queens of the Stone Age) will be playing live with Star & Dagger, adding some extra muscle and a double dose of heavy to the band! In March Star & Dagger will be debuting the full line up at SXSW, one show is already scheduled for March 13th with possibly more to follow! Check her next month for details on gigs.
Star & Dagger had a wild week of events recently in NYC and LA, with record release parties, book signings, photo shoots, record signings, and a signing for Sean at NAMM for Schecter guitars. The band partied with everyone from That Metal Show‘s Don Jameison to Entourage‘s Adrian Grenier in NYC, and hung with old friends Johnny Tempesta, members of Anthrax, Filter, Skid Row and even Ivy of the Cramps while on the West Coast! Star & Dagger will be taking the Mardi Gras onth off (February) while Sean has her first solo art opening of her photography, titled “SEX&DEATH&ROCK&ROLL”. The artists reception will be February 11th at the Scott Edwards Gallery,New Orleans – see info below!

Happy New Year! Sean’s book is finally back in stores after the first edition sold out in just six months! For those of you who already bought it, thank you! Please tell your friends it is back in stock and in stores and at amazon now! After seeing a rare Star & Dagger performance, the New Orleans Times Picayune claimed the band to be the “2012 band to watch”, so keep an eye out. The band is looking to release their full album “Tomorrowland Blues” this Spring in addition to their e.p. “In My Blood”, which is out now on Last Hurrah Records. Sean will be at this year’s NAMM convention, doing a signing at the Schecter booth. Check here for the dates and more info!

We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Of course in New Orleans, it’s always Halloween, and Sean has two big events that are suitable for all ghouls to continue on with merriment and debauchery! The first is her band Rock City Morgue making a rare appearance with Rasputina at One Eyed Jacks! This gig will be early on Wednesday November 9th: doors at 8pm, Rock City Morgue at 9pm, Rasputina at 10pm, and will be in celebration of local store Trashy Diva’s 15th Anniversary. Secondly, Sean has written and scored a soundtrack for an upcoming iPhone App titled “So You’re Dating a Vampire”, and it’s release will be November 11th! There are two tracks from Rock City Morgue on this as well, so make sure to download this innovative game, which is not animated but completely filmed – a vampire movie/game all shot in spooky New Orleans!
In Star & Dagger news, the band had a wildly successful recrod release party with Helmet last month! Special guest guitarist Dave Catchings flew in to join the band on stage, and friends of the band Dave Navarro and Pepper Keenan were in attendance and hanging with the gals! Sean’s reprint of “I’m In The Band” should be out in stores any day now, and also at amazon.com. In the meantime there are still a very limited number of the collection edition on this site for sale, and extremely limited numbers (2 or 3!) of White Zombie collectibles.

While Sean got to rock out the end of September with Kyuss while in New Orleans, there is a lot of news for October – first of all, the first release of Star & Dagger is available for pre-orders now! Just go to Last Hurrah Records to get your copy – only 500 pressed!
For the record’s release, the girls will be opening for Helmet on October 22nd at One Eyed Jacks (New Orleans). Joining Star & Dagger will be Dave Catchings, of Eagles of Death Metal on guitar!
On October 1st, Sean not only had two art openings but met John Waters before his art opening! Her artwork will be up all month at Scott Edwards Gallery (2109 Decatur St.) and House of Lounge (2044 Magazine Street) not to mention the debut this month of her tile designs debut at Spruce ( 2043 Magazine Street)- see photos below!

Some of you may have noticed the new rarities in the shop section – yes, finally from the vault, very rare White Zombie vinyl for sale, all in mint condition! Take a look here. In addition we have a collector’s edition of Sean’s book “I’m In The Band”, only twenty available from the sold out first edition. They come with a signature (personalized if requested), a Sean Yseult/White Zombie bass pick from the last White Zombie tour in 1996, and an “I’m In The Band” laminate. The vinyl and books are limited to one per person as these are meant to be available for true fans. Check it out!
Good news about the book – there is a second edition off to the press now, and should be available by November or December through Amazon and bookstores nationwide.
Sean and the gals of Star & Dagger have just finished recording their 12″ vinyl e.p. for Last Hurrah Records, and there is a nice surprise on there for White Zombie fans – both J. and Sean playing together for the first time since White Zombie broke up! J. takes a long, smoking solo on one of the tracks, and with only 500 color vinyl being produced, this is definitely going to be a collector’s item as well.
Last but not least, the band will open for Helmet on October 22nd at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans, with special guest Dave Catchings on guitar!

After a very successful mix session in Los Angeles with Star & Dagger, Sean flew to New Orleans on August 1st to record with Rock City Morgue, with producer and White Zombie cohort J. Yuenger. Star and Dagger will be releasing a full vinyl l.p. titled “Tommorowland Blues.” Rock City Morgue are recording a four song e.p. also to be released on vinyl, titled “White Devil”. At the end of this month, Star & Dagger will return to the studio with J. Yuenger producing for a limited edition three song 12″ vinyl for Last Hurrah Records. The e.p. will feature one song from their upcoming l.p., a new song, and a cover of Blue Cheer’s “Out of Focus.” It will also feature the artwork of Lindsey Kuhn. Sean will be gigging in New Orleans and New York and doing a press tour in NYC this month, promoting her book I’m in the Band. The book is almost sold out of it’s first printing, in just six months! Rumor has it that certain Barnes and Nobles and Borders have the last few copies, so get it now before the long wait for the second printing. Sean is spending most of May recording and performing with her new band, Star & Dagger. They will be recording at the famous Rancho de la Luna in Joshua Tree with Dave Catchings producing, from Eagles of Death Metal. The recording will be mixed along with previously recorded songs and released as their debut record, “Tomorrowland Blues”. The band also has their first shows on the West Coast: Pappy and Harriet’s in Joshua Tree on May 20th, and Three Clubs in Hollywood on May 21st.
In June, catch Sean performing twice in New Orleans: once on keyboards for the legendary Masters of Reality (June 4th, One Eyed Jacks); and once again with her new band Star & Dagger opening for Eagles of Death Metal (June 7th, One Eyed Jacks).

ON THE ROAD: Busy schedule this month, Sean’s already done a book signing and panel at SXSW, and is on her way to more book signings and panels! April 4th will find Sean in Chicago at Quimby’s http://www.quimbys.com/blog/books/sean-yseult-from-white-zombie-reads-from-i%E2%80%99m-in-the-band-44/ . She will be reading from her book “I’m in the Band” and signing copies. The following night, April 5th, Sean will be at Chicago’s Metal Shop at Delilahs. This is a great metal/punk bar and Sean will be guest djing, signing books (for sale at the bar while available!) and raffling off free rare White Zombie items! This is not to be missed if you are in the area! ALSO:
Sean will be appearing the very next day at Leopold’s Books in Detroit, reading and signing her book and handing out rare personal White Zombie picks while they last!

Sean will be returning to New York for more events and press this month. The main event will be a book signing at the infamous biker/metal bar Duff’s in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. If you don’t have a book yet, they will be available for purchase at the bar, and Sean will be on hand for signing of all things and meet and greet. Come down for a serious night of metal and rock’n'roll debauchery!
