Sean Yseult, famed musician turned designer, began her company Yseult Designs in 2006, just months after evacuating her home of New Orleans and taking refuge in NYC.Not one to sit idle, she quickly began turning sketchbooks full of drawings into beautiful scarves, catching the eye of showrooms, boutiques and fans as quickly as they were produced. Sold worldwide, the collections add an extraordinary twist to the traditional scarf by using head-turning colors and designs unique to each piece. The designs are hand drawn, pen on paper byYseult, then hand screened and hand finished in limited editions, after which the screens aredestroyed. This insures a collector’s piece every time : many go straight to the frame shop.  There have been widely received gallery showings of her framed scarves, and the designs are now available also as fine art prints, as well as cases and purses.

Yseult studied graphic design at the North Carolina School of the Arts and Parsons Schoolof Design in New York City. After earning a BFA in graphics at Parsons she tucked away her art and started a band with Rob Straker. Their band White Zombie shot to superstardom, selling millions of records and touring the world for a decade. Yseult became an icon to legions of fans and many young girls. Over the years, Sean Yseult’s work has crossed the spectrum from rock arenas to art galleries and boutiques.

Yseult Designs are inspired by childhood influences such as her parents, art and literature. Her taste for bold prints and psychedelic designs were influenced by her Pucci-clad mother and her father’s avant garde necktie collection. Other influences include artists such as Aubrey Beardsley, Maurice Sendak, and Peter Max. Her inspirations are evident throughout all collections.

Yseult currently divides her time between New Orleans and New York.

The Sean Yseult collection is available in boutiques and department stores worldwide.
